Vinoly in Pittsburgh

In a recent visit to Pittsburgh I had the opportunity to see the Cable stayed Convention Center structure. This structure has
( Funicular cables) guyed mast supports. Although it is not evident in this view, the horizontal guy cables are absorbed by diagonal cladding. The guy cables transfer structural loads to the ground. In the view to the left, a counter weight cantilever hangs over the river and provides additional assembly spaces.
We studied this building in the last intensive as a unique application of solar lighting. Yet it is a many faceted solution to a design.
Is this minimalist or modern? More important, is everything that Vinoly does perfect a priori?
